Between April 2004 and August 2007, he served on the Board of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (PSASA), and as its 2nd President during 2005-2006. PSASA became the 8th country to earn full membership status of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF) under Paul's watch on 23 April 2006 at the inaugural PSASA Convention. He then served as Secretary of the Global Speakers Federation for from 2006-2008.

On 3 August 2008 he was awarded his Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation in recognition of his consistent speaking performance, a distinction held by less than 700 speakers worldwide and only a handful in Africa.

In April 2009 at the Global Speakers Summit in Cape Town, Paul became only the 2nd recipient of the PSASA Founders Award for an outstanding contribution to the association and the speaking industry in Southern Africa.
